The Indian activist Anna Hazare, has been on hunger strike for eleven days as part of a move to stop government corruption in India. He has indicated to continue until the government pass his version of the anti-corruption bill.
While most support his struggle to end corruption and nation wide bribery, Anna Hazare may be asking too much; by demanding that his version of the bill be passed, he has failed to understand that India is a democracy and in a democracy, there must be room for debate.
Anna Hazare’ demand represents his personal opinion and does not totally represent the need of the entire citizenry. End the hunger and allow for a debate in the parliament for a final bill on corruption to be passed.
